Speaker

Charles Adler will talk about how Kickstarter became the fundraising platform for creatives across the country.

Charles Adler (@cadler) is part Designer, part Information Architect and part Entrepreneur. He is co-founder of Kickstarter.com, a site dedicated to the spread of creative ideas, where he heads the Product Design team. Previously, Charles co-founded Subsystence (currently on hiatus), an online art publication providing up-and-coming creatives an opportunity to publish their work, and Source ID (also on hiatus) an independent Interaction Design studio.
The character of his work is rooted in Product Design, Architecture, and Graphic Design, and finds inspiration from such luminaries as Mies van der Rohe, Charles & Ray Eames, and Dieter Rams, as well as his modern day peers. A lover of all things clean, simple and typographic.
